The Makey Makey board is an electronic device that allows you to turn almost any electrically conductive object into a key or button to interact with a computer. It connects via USB and works by closing electrical circuits: when you touch an object connected to the board, the circuit is completed and a signal is sent to the computer, as if a keyboard key were pressed or a mouse click were made.
It is very popular in education because it helps learners explore programming concepts, basic electronics, and creative thinking. With it, you can create musical instruments using fruit, build interactive games, or control programs like Scratch, encouraging playful and experimental learning.
In the following video, we show how each of the three elements in the “Investigate” area of the Future Classroom works, all of which were created using the Makey Makey board.
